After some scrounging around on the internet, Charlie and I decided on Pumpkin Patch Pudding Cups for his November “Boys Bake” project. This was a great project for my little 8-year old son. These pudding cups are super-cute, not too hard, and creative. I admit that I totally procrastinated this one. My goal is to get the boys in the kitchen at least once a month. You’d think that would be easy. But, the evenings and weekends fill up sooo fast. This little project required some help from Amazon, too. When I finally got around to shopping for our stuff, all the stores were done with Thanksgiving and on to Christmas. Thank goodness I keep up our Prime subscription so we can get that free 2 day shipping 🙂
Charlie got to learn some new kitchen skills: measuring liquids, reading instructions on the back of the pudding packages, layering, and learning how to spell p-u-m-p-k-i-n-s 🙂
This was also quite an experience for me. If you ever superglue your finger to…say a popsicle stick…and panic, don’t worry. I had conceded a loss and was preparing to rip it off and suffer the consequences. Husband came to the rescue, ” Just use some nail polish remover.” Well, there ya go… I knew there was a reason I married that guy!
